Temperatures are rising, and sunny days awaken the desire for light, open shoes. However, the fact that our feet carry us through life every day often means they suffer constantly and therefore don't look exactly sandal-ready. But that can be changed, and in no time at all, you can once again present your feet in the most beautiful summer shoes and, of course, in our Dailysocks, such as our "Peeptoe" sock!
- Moisture for the feet
Foot creams help counteract dry and cracked skin on the feet. Urea, essential oils, shea butter, aloe vera, and coconut oil are particularly regenerative and moisturizing. You can also easily leave the moisturizer on overnight by simply putting a cotton sock over your feet after applying the cream, and voila – the next morning you'll wake up with super soft feet!
- Put your feet up
If you've had a stressful week, just put your feet up on the weekend and give them a break. Relaxation is not only good for the soul; your feet and legs can also rest and have time to regenerate. While you're there, you can take the opportunity and perhaps convince your partner to give you a foot massage.
- Take off your shoes
As much as we love our pumps, wearing flat shoes or even no shoes at all occasionally will have a positive effect on the appearance of our feet.
- Foot bath
A foot bath can also stimulate our circulation and give our feet a little care. Simply add a good amount of sea salt to a container of warm water and let your feet relax in it for about 30 minutes, depending on your preference.
- Exfoliation
Additionally, you can also exfoliate to get soft feet and remove excess calluses. Such a scrub is very easy to make with a few household ingredients.
You will need:
5 tablespoons sea salt
1-2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon grated lemon zest
2-3 drops essential (lemon) oil
Food coloring
Preparation: After melting the coconut oil, add the remaining ingredients. You can then add a nice color to your scrub with the food coloring. Finally, transfer the scrub to an airtight container, and your homemade foot scrub is ready!
- Trim toenails
Finally, you can trim your nails to achieve a neat appearance. However, be careful not to round off the corners of your toenails too much and not to cut the nail too short overall, as this can lead to ingrown nails.
